Happy New Year! As we step into 2024, it's the perfect time to reflect on our physical well-being and set intentions for the year ahead. Do you have a movement resolution for 2024? Whether it's improving flexibility, building strength, or simply dedicating more time to self-care, a consistent Pilates practice can get you there.

Destinie wants to single-leg balance with her eyes closed for 30 seconds by the end of the year. Keegan wants to give her kitty a run for her money in agility. And, Nicole wants to improve her ankle flexibility to execute a single leg squat.

If you don’t have a movement resolution, yet, don’t worry. We’re hoping our new and improved group class structure will spark your curiosity. Read on to learn more!

Last year's monthly themes were fun and interesting, resulting in movement breakthroughs in many of you. This year, we're building on that success with a dual-focus approach: Thematic Exploration & Flow Progression. We'll alternate each month between kinetic chain themed classes and flow!

This dual-focus approach is all about helping you level up your Pilates practice. During Thematic Exploration months, we'll break down the nuances of movement skills that build up to those big, impressive exercises. This approach boosts your confidence. Additionally, by focusing on the kinetic chain, you'll develop an understanding of how your body operates as a unified system, which improves both your movement efficiency and coordination. During Flow Progression months, not only will tempo increase, but these classes also offer you the opportunity to apply the techniques and knowledge gained from the thematic classes with autonomy.

But that’s not all! Thematic Exploration months will be backed by blog posts and video support to help you embody your movement skills outside class. So, be sure to become a regular reader of this newsletter which gets sent out Sunday at 3pm!

Monday, January 8th @ 12pm w/ Nicole:
Bottoms up 2024! Lifting the hips overhead is a transitional skill from beginner to a more seasoned Pilates mover. It can be a heavy task so we’ll explore modifications, visual cues and our sources of strength to get you safely to your version of Jack knife. Props: A MELT roller or soft foam roller.
